More than just meet the eyes

Same goes in making food, which mean Cantonese food should be balanced. It is either Yin [cooling] like vegetables, most fruits and clear soup or Yang [warming] like starchy foods and meat. A cooling food should be balance with a warming food and with not too much of one or the other. Which is why,  Cantonese food are mild and subtle so as to not overpower the freshness of the ingredients. Well known Cantonese dishes include steamed whole fish, crispy-skinned chicken, and shark's fin soup. And lets not forget the most popular Cantonese Dim Sum among the Malaysian. This “little heart” food served in little baskets or bowls. There are like 10 to 30 ingredients in variety kind of Dim Sum that makes this “little heart” taste incredibly delicious and hard to forget. I try it before and now I cannot help myself from wanted to have it again and again.

A little bit about Chinese Delicious Cuisines

After receive its Independence, Malaysia has become a country celebrated for its multiculturalism. Here people of different race, religion and country live in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The multiculturalism of the country is evident in the food of the country. Here you will find everything from spicy Malay food, and Chinese food to Indian, Nyonya and Portuguese food. This is one of the reasons why I am so proud to be Malaysian people:)

There are so many kind of Malaysia’s food and the one that I fall in love with lately is Chinese Cuisine. Did you guys know that there is a very long list of food under Chinese Cuisine? The main kinds of cuisine are Cantonese, Hokkiean and Szechuan. Not just that, they also have food that they called staple food. It is apparently rice with accompanishments which, by the way, look and taste really good. Sounds good? Well, it is good^^

Actually, Chinese Cuisine is already exist for a very long time, around our country Independence day but because of our country’s unstable economy status, this kind of food take a while to be fully accepted by the Malaysian people. When the Chinese people from China itself came to Malaysia to find jobs, they were not just bring in their custom, languages or culture but they also bring in their variety of Chinese Cuisine.

Thanks to them, Malaysia then and now are a different country because Malaysia now is known as a country of multiculturalism and because the influence from this multiethnic country, Chinese cuisine in Malaysia, has taken on a spicier touch, often reinventing classic Chinese dishes.
